Earlier you will have stored your other clothes and personal items in a locked luggage room in the warm building, to prevent them from freezing in your room overnight. The bed is remarkably comfortable and once zipped up in your sleeping bag, you may be too excited to sleep! While there are no doors per se, only privacy curtains, the bed is tucked away and the ‘snice’ walls absorb all sound. For each chapter, I interviewed an enthusiast – an athlete, a tour guide or keen participant passionate about the activity chosen. The walls of one cave in particular, ‘Jewel Cave’, are lined with brilliantly coloured anemones, sponges, giant barnacles and cup corals, but to see them you need to be there at low tide, when they are exposed.
